Loans built on discipline, not just credit history
Every shilling you save with Storax lowers your borrowing cost and raises your ceiling. Effective January 2026, our loan terms are tied directly to your savings record — the more consistent you are, the less you pay.

How your rate is set
Your interest rate is not fixed — it steps down as your relationship with your savings account matures. This is the exact mechanism behind clause 5 of your loan terms.
Standard rate
Before qualifying through savings
Savings-compliant rate
Meeting your monthly savings requirement
Preferred rate
Borrowing below your accumulated savings
Clause 8
Your eligible loan amount is the lower of 30% of your verified monthly net pay, or 1.5× your accumulated savings. This is an estimate only — final approval rests with Storax Investment.

Effective January 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern all loans issued by Storax Investment. By accepting a loan, the client agrees to comply with these terms.
All loan beneficiaries are required to make monthly savings: KES 500 per month for loans below KES 5,000, and KES 1,000 per month for loans of KES 5,000 and above.
Your savings serve as security for your loan and help build your borrowing profile, making you eligible for future loan increments based on financial discipline, trust, and repayment history.
Savings are refundable at the end of each calendar year. A client who no longer intends to borrow may withdraw their savings before year-end by giving one (1) month's written notice.
If a client withdraws their savings and later wishes to apply for another loan within 3–4 months, they will be required to reinstate the full amount withdrawn before the new loan can be processed.
Standard rate before qualifying through savings: 30%. Rate after meeting the required savings conditions: 25%. Clients borrowing less than their accumulated savings: 20%.
Compliance with the savings policy is mandatory for all loan beneficiaries. Failure to comply may affect eligibility for future loans, renewals, or increments.
Repayments must be made on or before the agreed due date. Late payment attracts a penalty of KSh 200 per day, accruing until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
Eligibility is the lower of 30% of your verified monthly net pay, or 1.5× your accumulated savings — subject to Storax Investment's assessment and approval.
